I am LaTron Brown, Founder of Aging Well Roanoke Valley. I specialize in helping clients age well. My philosophy is: ‘It takes a village’ and I seek to holistically partner with other services, individuals and families all over the Roanoke Valley, to help our clients focus on Optimal Living. I am a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Dual Degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology. I began my career in geriatric care while working as an operations analyst of a chain of senior living facilities. During that time I received my Masters in Business Administration from Averett University. I later transitioned into case management and adjudication with state government where I developed knowledge in functional and vocational disability analysis.
I created Aging Well Roanoke Valley, formerly known as Senior Lifestyle Concierge, in 2009 to offer an integrated solution for seniors desiring to remain at home and those in transition. I have come to understand that health involves much more than physically repairing aging bodies. I believe it is vital to start working with our senior population with more of a preventive, planning model that included not just the medical piece but also psycho-social aspects of service. I developed Lifestyle 360 program that integrates and coordinates and home care, home design and maintenance, technology, and social integration. We are the connector between the fragmented ecosystem and silos of care. We aim to create an effective Aging in Place experience for our members. We tackle many of the challenges of aging in place and coordinating the appropriate level of assistance based on your specific needs.
