Maintaining one’s home is essential to ensuring a safe and secure environment. Our network partners have managed clients’ homes for many years and understand that Home Management for Seniors is a necessity.



Housekeeping Professionals – who provide weekly, monthly or whatever frequency you need.

Lawn Maintenance Professionals – who provide lawn mowing, weeding/mulching, tree trimming/removal.

Handyperson – who provides occasional updates needed around the home. This can include the installation of grab bars in the shower, hanging pictures, rearranging furniture, removing and installing light bulbs or even installing new bathrooms on the ground floor.

Home Modification Professionals – who provide home modifications which can go a long way towards making home more comfortable and livable. This can include the installation of ramps or stair lifts, or even installing new bathrooms on the ground floor.

    Weatherization Assistance Program

    This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and is run by Tap Into Hope in Roanoke. It provides home energy efficiency upgrades to low-income households. Priority is given to seniors and families with young children. To qualify, seniors must meet certain income requirements. Services are free of charge and include insulating attics, sealing cracks around windows and doors and home improvements that can lower your heating and cooling bills and make your home home comfortable.

    The Local Office on Aging delivers meals to seniors aged 60 and over who are homebound and no longer able to prepare food on their own. The program is funded by the federal government and community donations. Meals are delivered around noon on weekdays by a group of volunteer drivers. These volunteers carry out a social check and report any problems to relevant authorities. There’s no charge for meals, but donations are welcome.

    Tap Into Hope runs the home repair program in Roanoke. The program is funded by the federal government and provides limited home repair services to ensure that homes are safe and livable. To qualify for the program, your annual income must be equal to or less than 80% of the area median income based on the size of your household. Priority is given to seniors, families with small children and those with disabilities. Repairs provided include fixing a leaky roof, repairing dangerous electrical systems and replacing rotted floorboards.
